Synopsis
Despite her best intentions, The Playwright struggles to shape a story that brings the depth she's striving for, crafting two parallel tales about a boy, Charlie (a loose symbol for Peter Pan), who refuses to grow up, and a girl, Clara (a loose symbol for Cinderella), who longs to escape the life she’s been given. But as their narratives begin to twist together in ways The Playwright never planned, the characters make their own choices that defy her commands and push the story away from sugar-coated fairytales and toward harsh truths she’s afraid to face. While Clara and Charlie confront the limits of love and the effects of forcing stories together, The Playwright is forced to reckon with losing control of her own creation.
